School Insurance Program (SIP)
2023-24 Student Accident Insurance Program
Basic program coverage is provided for all public-school students in Nova Scotia at no cost and affords much needed assistance through reimbursement of qualifying post accident medical expenses.
The Gold Plan provides enhanced benefits and is available again this year for purchase by parents. As in past years, SIP is giving all public schools in Nova Scotia an opportunity to raise funds for classrooms through SIP’s Go for Gold promotion. Each school will earn $2.00 from every Student Accident Insurance Gold Plan purchased by parents of children in their school. The cost of the Gold Plan remains unchanged at $14.00 per student and $35.00 maximum for those families with three or more students.
